Several Notes About Rustic Furniture


All Cedar, Aspen,Pine,hand hewn logs are subject to the natural drying process of checking. Checking happens as wood releases moisture, and normally occurs across or through the annual growth rings. Checking is one of the characteristics of Cedar, Aspen,Pine,hand hewn logs and does not affect the structural performance of integrity of the wood. Our beds and chairs are made from Cedar, Aspen,Pine,hand hewn logs.Log diameters vary over the length of the log. Therefore, outside measurements such as overall length and width may vary several inches from one bed to the other, even though one is measuring beds with the same bed number. As stated , the normal checking in logs is not a defect, and only enhances the style of rustic furniture.
