    Each blanket chest is assembled using mortise and tenon construction, has raised panels on all four sides and is lined with Aromatic Cedar. Our custom-made high quality steel and spring lid supports are made in the USA. These supports allow for smooth and easy opening and closing. These lid supports allow for top to remain open at any angle up to 90 degrees and will only fully close by manually pushing down until fully closed.

    Shipping: Standard shipping time is 4-6 weeks based on availability. All of our items are "Fedex Freight" ground shipping to curbside inside the United States.

    Ambrosia Maple is a byproduct of the soft maple tree that grows mainly in the central part of the Eastern United states. Timberline's craftsman use this lumber exclusively due to the terrific grain pattern and streaking that is created by the Ambrosia Beetle. The beetle lives in the tree and over years bores a network of tunnels and small galleries called cradles. Ultimately the beetle creates streak like fungi discolorations and small pinholes in the wood. This look gives our furniture designs a very unique and a rustic elegant look. Be assured that the kiln drying process that our lumber goes through totally eliminates the beetle and any forms of mold and fungi.

    Each piece of furniture that we create involves a lot of layout time so that the final product has an appealing flow to it, and as a customer once said makes "the piece sings to you".

    Although we may build several pieces of furniture with the same design, each piece is relatively a one of a kind due to the final look that is achieved using this special lumber.

    The lighter the stain the more the character will show up. This is the reason we prefer to use only our three stain colors - light, medium and dark walnut. Although we do our best to portray the appearance of this wood and stain on our web site, there is nothing like seeing and feeling our furniture in person. We will send out stain samples upon request to help you in your selection.
