    Things to consider when selecting a sleeping bag should be:

    Where will you be going and how cold will it be. If you are backpacking, weight will be a factor to consider. Get a good nites rest will also be a factor in selecting a bag. Your choses will be synthetic or down. While synthetic is cheaper than down, they both have their fine points. Synthetic will dry out quicker in a damp enviroment, down is by far warmer, even though when damp can be hard to dry.Hanging it out in the breeze will speed this process up considerably.

    Synthetic bags are usualyy used for summer time and low altitude camping. Where as down bags are used for early and late season and high altitude camping. Suffering thru a night of severe cold is highly not recommended for obvious reasons.
